What brought you here? Was it idle Curiosity?
A simple desire to procrastinate a while?
It may be that you don't know why you are here, but what you do know is that you are looking for something to perk you up, inspire you, amuse you, uplift you or even bliss you out totally.
If it was any of the above, you are in the right place. In the many, many years and many thousands of hours that it has taken to research and develop the material for this site, I have personally road tested countless ways of getting inspired, uplifted, amused and blissed out. Some of them were even legal. It is with enormous pleasure that I can now do my good deed for this lifetime, and share the results with you, my fellow cosmonauts.
The site is divided into several sections, each one dedicated to uplifting you in a different way.
The most exciting of these is most definitely the Angel Channeling section. Exciting because out of all the millions of delightful that things I have had the good fortune to experiment with, it is the one that has the most profound affect on me, and it is one which has transformed many different aspects of my life.
I should immediately stress that I am not an angel expert like Doreen Virtue, and unlike Lorna Byrne, I don’t actually see angels floating around the place. I don’t know their names, or what they do when they aren’t talking to me. I don’t know if they exist outside of me or if they are an aspect of me that I conjure up when I think of them. To be quite frank, it doesn’t matter to me. The advice and assistance that they give is what matters, and that has been tested over a period of more than fifteen years, so I am happy that it works, whatever they are. I am really quite selfish and only channel them because of what they can do, not out of any great interest in them.
I experience angels as beings that are loving and supportive and helpful in all kinds of ways. And they are quite willing to talk and answer questions in a completely straightforward, no-nonsense manner, with humour and compassion. I have had endless long conversations with them, over the years and they have helped me with all kinds of problems, ranging from money issues (being broke and unwilling to even open the letters from the bank) to being utterly heartbroken, after being dumped. The material from these conversations has become two books, one of which is called ‘Angel In Disguise?’ If you click on that, you will be able to read the first chapter and if you like it, you can order a copy from Amazon. The second book is currently being written, and it has a working title ‘Angel Advice For Everyday Situations’. You can also read an extract from this, in the same section. If you get a tingly feeling when you think about angels, you may wish to click on about angel channeling or you may wish to watch the youtube clips or if you would like a direct experience you can book a reading or attend a workshop or event.
Like I said, if it is supposed to be fun, whatever it is, I will probably try it once, to see if I like it. Over the years, I have experimented with activities as diverse as scuba diving, almost smoking crack in Claridges, bashing Johnny Depp over the head with my hand bag, carol singing, composting, and just sitting quietly cross legged on the floor. All of these activities have their merits. But my considered opinion is that nothing, not even a Vintage Vivienne Westwood can make you happy if you are determined not to be. And the flipside of that is that nothing, not even the loss of a loved one, or a terminal illness can make you unhappy if you are determined to be happy. This has been proved to me in my career as a journalist, by having had the opportunity to interview a vast array of inspiring people, many of whom have had horrible things thrown at them, in their lives, but who have not only survived and thrived, but also been able to inspire other people with their courage and resilience. Along with these, I have also assembled a selection of interviews with spiritual teachers who have impressed me, people like Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Paulo Coelho, Dadi Janki, Kathleen Mc Gowan, Byron Katie and many more.
In every life, there is room for a little bit of glamour, and I am more partial to glamour than most. I am not ashamed to say that I get a ridiculously big thrill out of being in the company of the fabulously famous. And in my career, I have also had the opportunity to interview a number of celebs, most of whom were quite nice. Some were quite hot. And some were very interesting. I particularly liked JP Donleavy, Pete Doherty, Jeremy Irons, Michael Palin, Bob Geldof and Jilly Cooper. You can read the interviews in the inspiring people section.
I keep a weekly blog where you can read what the angels have to say about all kinds of different situations, problems and conundrums.
As I have already intimated, I am a person in passionate pursuit of pleasurable experiences. Because of this, I often come across delicious and enticing people, places and things that you might also enjoy discovering. If you click the Victoria’s Amazing Discoveries section, you will be automatically escorted to the relevant blog, which contains said discoveries and which is also updated weekly. This may include anything from clothes to carpet shops and from diets to dentistry. Be warned.
I would not be the first person in the world to have discovered yoga. And I am not by any means a yoga expert. But I am a yoga teacher, and I have been practicing it for twenty five years, which is quite a long time. When I first started, I was a fit young thing, but I couldn’t touch my toes, let alone stand on my hands with straight legs. Also, I couldn't sit in the lotus position, both of which I can now do. Yoga has served me extremely well, in lots of other ways that I never even imagined it would. You would be astounded at the level of patience and humility it demands, and even though that can be frustrating, it also brings a very rewarding sense of surrender and peace, which is why I am recommending it here. If like me you are essentially a lazy, anxious and neurotic person who lacks discipline, but wants to find a fun and pleasurable way to be serene and strong and flexible and also be able to show off how bendy you are, click on the yoga stuff section and you will be escorted to a fascinating and informative yoga section which features classes, workshops and my gardening yoga DVD.
